Who is this female Sydney Vinyl DJ?

Captain K [she/her] enjoys entertaining music lovers with her treasure trove of eclectic taste in vinyl.

She breathes new life into forgotten tunes and unearths hidden gems, infusing her sets with an irresistible aura of nostalgia. Her selections are a testament to her love of the late 70’s and early 80’s, with a particular love for disco, boogie, soul, afrobeat, new wave, JCity pop and yacht rock. 

The Captain co-hosts Sunday Soul at The Roosevelt, is also a resident DJ at Rekodo, JAM Record Bar, and Uncanny in Newtown. She DJs at the home of the Queen Bees, the Hive Bar, and has played at events such as Back to Funk, King Street Crawl, Sydney Streets Festival: Potts Point and Surry Hills, Underground Disco New Years Eve,  and the Australian National Northern Soul Weekender. She’s also had multiple  radio appearances on 2ser and Eastside FM.

Captain K is one third of the Sydney Soul Weekender crew, a group of vinyl DJ’s who put on an annual rare soul and northern soul weekender.
